Suman began her career with Indian Herbs and Technologies as a Biochemist. She went on to work as Quality Control Manager for Ready Foods, India. She worked as Teaching Assistant in the Department of Food Science and Technology at Texas A&M University, teaching undergraduates. She gained significant experience with Biovail Technologies in the US. She worked with the British International School of Phnom Penh for 3 years, and then worked as Secondary Science teacher with Myanmar International School for 6 years, teaching Biology, Food and Nutrition and Environmental Management.
